Temporality

2023 - 2025

Temporality is the shortest of my first series. Many photographers are drawn to abandoned and dilapidated structures when they’re green, and I’m a part of that club. As an art student in Detroit, I knew people living in economically struggling areas are understandably sick of this kind of thing. So, I pivoted to shooting in the suburbs, chose not to include locations, and eventually dropped the project all together. Human relationships to time, linear progression, displacement, and mortality were on my mind. The “infectious” process of Lith Printing felt like the right aesthetic and had a poetic relationship to the subject matter. These few prints I made felt like enough.
