I made Stepping Out as a companion piece to Follow All Signs. After picking up Joel Meyerowitzs’s A Question of Color, I started thinking about binary decisions photographers face. Color or black and white? Candid or posed? Art or documentary? I found that a divisive choice amongst photographers was: Analog or Digital? Which is right for me? So, I bought a Canon 90D. Just like my first project, the title took on new meanings, and I had an answer to my questions: I don’t know, it just depends man.
